For fuller context and explanation, and to more fully understand how the AdGateWorld® community and opportunity will be marketed, one should go to AdGateWorld’s home page. The description below is an attempt to provide a useful summary profile of the venture. The traditional advertising model has sponsors paying media publishers for their viewers’ or readers’ “eyeballs.” Until recently these media toll collectors were predominantly over-the-air broadcasters and print publishers. More recently, of course, Web-based publishers have taken a substantial share of the sponsor-paid advertising market. Note that broadly speakly this market includes both (1) “push” advertising, where the viewer is subjected to the ads, e.g., product pitches during breaks in radio or television programming, or graphical spreads of varying size on the printed or Web page (banners); and (2) classified ads, where potential buyers are “pulled” in when they actively seek out listings of interest in forums organized in ways useful and accessible to them, such as those published in newspapers, magazines, and their internet-based equivalents – a notable example of the later being craigslist. A niche alternative advertising approach involves enticing people to listen to a sales pitch in exchange for something of value, such as a free meal, a product discount coupon, a chance to win a raffle ... or a rubber raft (think vacation timeshares). The compensation offered could be cash, but that does not appear to be standard procedure. Viewer/listeners are still “pulled” in, as with classifieds, but the enticement required is stronger than the mere chance of finding a good deal. And once someone has been pulled in, the message is then “pushed” on its captive audience good and hard – of that you can be sure! As a rule one might expect the pay-to-listen advertising model to be used where persuading the target that the product being offered is worth more than its price is problematic due to its technical complexity, expense or unfamiliarity. Were you blissfully unaware that you could not live without the vacuum cleaner with 29 attachments? Having sat through a two-hour presentation you are now informed!
AdGateWorld’s approach lies within this second general advertising category, but only in the sense that viewers are directly compensated for their time. AdGateWorld community members are paid to view 25 ads a day which last 25 seconds each (about 11 minutes in total). What are they paid in? AdGate Cash. Why would you want that? Because it has value due to two possible uses: (1) It can be converted to standard mediums of exchange such as U.S. dollars and euros; and (2) it can be used to purchase the rapt attention of AdGateWorld members, via having an ad entered in the 25/25 derbies. Let us back up a minute here: How does one get in on this deal in the first place? You purchase AdGate viewings, called Ad Packs for short, using AdGate Cash, which you either bought – from an independent exchanger such as AdGateCash.com – or earned by viewing ads as just described. So you can purchase eyeballs directly, or you can engage in an “I’ll watch your ads if you’ll watch mine” exchange.
Rational advertisers will be satisfied if the net profits earned on consequent sales exceed their advertising outlays (properly accounting for the value of their time, in the case where viewings were earned via watching ads). But now AdGateWorld introduces an additional incentive and source of profit for advertisers. AdGateWorld promises that 50% of its gross revenues will be distributed back to the community members as AdGate Cash. As with dividends on shares of stock, AdGateWorld’s distributions are per active Ad Pack (not per member). The plan is that each Ad Pack will remain active until cummulative rebates totaling up to 125% of the Ad Pack’s cost have been paid, i.e, the payouts would total the cost of the Ad Pack plus a 25% reward. With marketing help from the AdGateWorld member/advertiser base, AdGateWorld’s revenue from advertising will grow. Additional revenue streams and member benefits will also be added over time. Auctions, raffles and discounted travel services are promised in the near future. |
